My cousin works for the USTA (United States Tennis Association), where I will most likely be interning in the spring. The past 2 week the US Open has been going on, which is their number one sporting event in America. I wen down to the city for a week and followed my cousin and her co workers around. My cousin is in the marketing and advertising field there. I helped them put together Arthur Ash Kids Day which was August 30Th, the day before the first match of the Us Open. I went around the city handing out flyer's and speaking with the local business; convincing them to come to Kid Day and bring as many kids as possible. The more kids there the better the USTA looks and the more costumers we get to buy tickets to the games, merchandise, food and beverage etc. After Arthur Ash Kids Day was over I got to b on the ground level of the actual US Open, making sure everything was where it needed to be. If one USTA logo was out of place it could of ruined everything. I really enjoyed following my cousin around for those 2 weeks and am really looking forward to stating my internship there.
