As we all know the past we has been the ever famous Mercedes Benz fashion week here in New York City. The company that I intern at, IntenCity Global, hosted a party for Fashion Night Out, on Thursday September 10th at the Aspen Social Club in Manhattan.
In order to prepare for the event I was given the duty of comprising the guest list. The guest list was separated into three categories, VIP, press, and general. In the online invitation to the event there was an email that you have to RSVP too, rsvp@intencityglobal.com, which is where all of the RSVP's were stored. From there one by one we had to go through the emails and add the people into the correct category, including their guests. Press was asked to call into the office, where we asked them more specifics like who there media outlet was, what their job was specifically, like an editor or reporter, and if they would have camera people etc.
After the people were put on the guest we replied to their email with a confirmation to let them know that we received their request and they were put onto the guest list.
Emails came in really fast which made the guest list pretty large and tedious to make. This portion of even planning is very important because you want to make sure that everyone that RSVP is put on the list and they all receive confirmation emails.
