As discussed in the last blog I wrote, one assessment tool for my Seminar in Mass Communication is a Career Portfolio. Each student must create a portfolio that includes 8 items. In class on Friday, October 9th, 2009, Brother Smith had us work on Career Profolio # 7: On-Line Job Searching. For most of us, we will be searching and searching and searching for the perfect job to go along with what we studied for 4 years in college after we graduate. Brother Smith handed out a helpful worksheet with sites to search for a job. The sites included: www.mediabistro.com, www.monstertrak.com, www.beaweb.org, www.careerbuilder.com, www.hotjobs.yahoo.com, www.jobs.com, www.jobsearch.org, www.craigslist.com, www.alljobsearch.com, www.jobsinnewyork.com, www.newyorkrecruiter.com, www.journalismjobs.com, www.prsa.com and www.campusrecruiter.com. I myself have visited these sites and found them to be very helpful. I recommend everyone to visit these websites. Who knows, we may find our dream job from one of these sites!
