I've begun searching for my spring internship and have a few leads so far; however, they are not all necessarily the field I am interested in. I'm interested in community programming, fundraising and raising awareness.
-Thoughts on community relations and non-profit PR?
-Did anyone have a really great internship experience at a non-profit they think I should check out? I'm open to pretty much anything.
Also, I found something interesting through my Google Alerts. The College of Southern Maryland campus in Leonardtown is holding a conference hosted by Public Relations Individuals in Southern Maryland on October 15. This workshop is for local nonprofits, business people, entrepreneurs, professionals, students, and government employees to learn key concepts of good PR and Marketing.
Perhaps Iona should host such a workshop?
